Position Overview:
A Registered Nurse (RN) is essential in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents at Great Lakes Nursing. This role involves not only delivering outstanding direct care but also supervising the daily nursing activities performed by Nursing Assistants while coordinating comprehensive care with various departments within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the Admission and Discharge processes
  • Prepare accident and incident reports, conducting follow-up investigations as necessary
  • Accurately transcribe Physician orders and document pertinent resident information, notifying the physician and family when required
  • Review medication orders for precision and thoroughness
  • Adapt to the Electronic Medical Record system effectively
  • Administer medications according to physician directives
  • Engage in the Care Planning Process, actively participating in Care conferences and making updates as needed
  • Build positive relationships with all departments to ensure holistic resident care
  • Participate in continuous education programs
  • Maintain a current RN/LPN license in the state
  • Exhibit professionalism when interacting with staff, residents, families, visitors, and the public
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Registered Nursing License in the State of Wisconsin
