We are currently seeking a dedicated Company Driver.
*Driver – CDL Class A
*POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility is to execute general delivery and unloading tasks for our customers. All activities must adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols. Success is measured by timely deliveries and the cultivation of strong relationships through outstanding service.

Daily vehicle maintenance is essential (including reporting mechanical issues, checking tires, fluid levels, license expirations, lights, turn signals, cleanliness, etc.).

The ability to work independently with minimal oversight is required.
*PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

*Primary Purpose: *To perform general delivery and unloading tasks for our customers. All activities must comply with DOT regulations and company safety protocols. Success is measured by timely deliveries and the establishment of strong relationships through exceptional service.

Daily vehicle maintenance is crucial (including reporting mechanical issues, checking tires, fluid levels, license expirations, lights, turn signals, cleanliness, etc.).

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
*Essential Functions:
  • Loads and unloads truck; verifies load against invoices; prepares route to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries.
  • Maintains a maintenance log for the assigned truck and ensures it is serviced regularly.
  • Keeps the truck clean; inspects equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Maintains communication with the supervisor via telephone or radio to receive expedited delivery instructions.
  • Collects return or rejected merchandise, with documentation, and delivers this to the Returns department before the end of each day.
  • Treats all internal/external contacts as customers and strives to meet their expectations by providing responsive, adaptive, and exceptional service.
  • Ensures all deliveries/pickups are signed and processed correctly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
*Other Functions:
  • May be required to assist within the warehouse or perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Maintains the yard and surrounding areas of the warehouse as necessary.
*Working Conditions: *The working environment is generally acceptable but may occasionally involve lifting, standing, and carrying, along with exposure to typical warehouse hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting may be required.
*Equipment: *Responsible for maintaining the assigned delivery truck and must be certified in its operation. Operates forklift, pallet jacks, and standard safety equipment. Reports deficiencies to the supervisor promptly.
*Work Hours: *Hours vary based on scheduled delivery loads, typically 40 hours Monday through Friday. Some weekend and overtime work may be necessary.

Mental Demands:
*Visual ability to read handwritten or typed documents, and display screens of various warehouse equipment. Capable of conducting verbal conversations and hearing normal range verbal communication (approximately 60 decibels). Able to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and walk. Able to sit or stand for extended periods. Able to walk on hard flooring for prolonged durations. Able to climb slopes, stairs, steps, ramps, and ladders. Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds frequently. Able to push and/or pull various tools and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds. Able to sit for extended periods up to 8 hours. Able to exhibit full range of motion for various physical activities. Able to work at various heights safely and effectively. Able to work in a wide range of temperatures. Able to handle chemical agents safely without allergic reactions. Capable of operating various warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
*Skills / Knowledge: *In addition to fulfilling the communication, physical, and mental demands listed above, must know how to operate a forklift, wrapper, and pallet jacks. Must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including forklift and wrapper operation safety rules. Must be able to lift 60 lbs unassisted.
*Education: *High School graduation or equivalent.
*Experience: *Minimum of one (1) year of delivery experience. Must possess a valid Hawaii Motor Vehicle Operators License, appropriate insurance, and maintain a satisfactory driving record. DOT, CDL, Airbrake, Tractor Trailer, and HazMat certifications are preferred. Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift is required.
*Accuracy: *Maintains and demands personal accuracy for the delivery of orders to valued customers. Ensures all deliveries are loaded and secured in the truck.
*Other: *Alertness and careful attention are necessary to avoid injury to oneself and others. Excellent attendance is essential.
Ability to gain security access to customer locations, such as military bases and docks.
*Requirements: *Must pass a required pre-employment physical examination related to this position. Must take and pass a pre-employment drug test.
