Licensing Requirements:
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of North Dakota,
- CPR and First Aid certification required,
- Valid driver's license and insurance necessary.
Key Responsibilities Related to Individuals Supported:
- Coordinate healthcare services effectively.
- Respond to and manage incidents involving accidents, injuries, and illnesses; schedule and attend necessary medical appointments and therapies; monitor health status; document all actions and follow-ups.
- Facilitate hospital admissions and discharges, emergency room treatments, and travel arrangements for out-of-town appointments.
- Provide health education to individuals supported as required.
- Conduct GER reviews and provide guidance.
- Perform medical assessments and follow-ups regarding suspected abuse and neglect.
- Participate in agency Nursing On-Call rotation.
Key Responsibilities Related to Staff:
Train and ensure the competency of direct care staff for delegated nursing tasks, and assist the Director of Nursing in addressing the impact of staff injuries or illnesses on job performance.
Qualifications for Registered Nurse:
- Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Dakota.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Preferred: At least one year of case management experience.
- Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Proficient in computer use; knowledge of Outlook, Teams, and Therap preferred.
- Experience with standards such as ICF/DD and The Council is preferred.
