The position is for a full time employee. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Maryland (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW-C, PsyD., LGSW, LMSW, LGPC), having a license in DC or VA is also preferable (reimbursement for additional license is available). Previous therapy experience is preferred, but we train and support all our therapists at whatever stage you are at. If you have a graduate license we provide individual and group supervision.
Takoma Therapy is a growing private practice in Takoma Park, MD. We specialize in providing holistic trauma focused care, and are looking to expand the range of services we offer. We are a private practice designed for therapists, with diversity at the heart of what we do. We want you to feel well cared for, so that you enjoy the therapeutic work. We do not expect you to accept every client, but encourage a thorough assessment process where you decide if you are the best fit for the client. We provide support, education, and encouragement so that you can develop your therapeutic skills. Additionally, we offer competitive rates, assistance with insurance credentialing, and case consultations with experienced clinicians. We handle all the billing and marketing aspects of the business, so that you can focus on what you do best - providing excellent clinical services to your clients.
