Job Title: Bulk Material Handler

Location: Hopewell, VA (Onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time, Rotating Shifts

Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, packaging products, and maintaining accurate inventory records in SAP. This role requires working in a chemical plant environment and adhering to safety and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload incoming raw materials and load finished products into truck trailers.
  • Ensure proper documentation is received before unloading/loading.
  • Obtain samples for Quality Control testing.
  • Complete SAP entries for inventory and invoice processing.
  • Handle hazardous materials and conduct physical inventories.
  • Package products into various containers (bags, drums, totes).
  • Maintain daily production logs and housekeeping of work areas.
  • Assist operations and warehouse personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
  • Ability to pass forklift certification.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a chemical plant or related industry.
  • Experience with SAP and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is a plus.
  • Strong math skills and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in all weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working around chemicals with appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to perform duties during prolonged physical activity (e.g., 12-hour shifts).
