Position Overview:

7 Star Brokerage is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to efficiently manage day-to-day warehouse operations, with a focus on supervising personnel and achieving production goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Desire to learn performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and warehouse/mechanical equipment.
  • Understanding of OSHA, DOT, and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent talent management, team building, and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours, lift/move totes up to 50 pounds, and work in environments with variable noise, lighting, and temperature.

Operations Management:

  • Develop and implement shipping and receiving schedules and assignments to ensure effective operations.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel, aligning their skills with required tasks.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Optimize equipment usage.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance with management.
  • Review daily work objectives and determine productivity requirements.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to balance labor and staffing levels.
  • Draft and submit daily end-of-shift reports.
  • Recommend and implement initiatives to improve operations.

Employee Relations/Development:

  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to review productivity, operational issues, and forecast workloads.
  • Assist in training and motivating personnel for increased effectiveness.
  • Oversee onboarding programs for new personnel.
  • Maintain good human resources practices and adhere to corporate policies.
  • Resolve employee relations issues in collaboration with Management and Human Resources.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and recognition to enhance personnel skills.
  • Play an active role in employee development and talent selection.
  • Provide regular coaching and constructive feedback and prepare performance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records.
  • Stay current on information, tools, and systems.
  • Travel to other company offices and participate in company meetings as needed.

Safety and Security:

  • Ensure safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Support safety programs and OSHA compliance.
  • Follow documented processes for reporting and analyzing employee injuries and accidents.
  • Ensure employees complete daily pre-flight reviews.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally.
  • Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.
  • Walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery.
