Position Highlights

  • This position is eligible for Avera's student loan repayment program which helps you pay off your loans and save money.  Each month an extra payment of $167/month (up to $10,000) from Avera will help you pay down your principle balance faster.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is accountable for providing accurate and timely results to physicians, and performing various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests on patient/resident specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training is required  

Certification, Licensure, Registration

  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from NCA or ASCP preferred

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm/7:00am-5:30pm, occas wknd/hol, call required; 48hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $27.50 - $41.50 per hour
