Summary:

The successful candidate will estimate new construction and repairs for existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform system engineering estimation to support the branch sales team.
  2. Create cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities to assist Sales in bidding or determining the price of a project.
  3. Utilize plans and specifications to analyze project needs and compile detailed cost estimates.
  4. Responsible for take-off and pricing of materials to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc.
  5. Identify possible cost-saving opportunities and/or risk items that will occur on various projects.
  6. Ability to complete field surveys and assessments for fire sprinkler systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. 3 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems and new construction and retrofits of multifamily and/or all types of commercial projects.
  2. Experience with a variety of system types and manufacturers.
  3. Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office, estimating and take off tools.
  5. NICET I / II or accumulated experience.
  6. Strong knowledge of industry codes (NFPA & FFPC).
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Excellent planning and organization skills.
  9. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check and drug test.
