Description Summary: The Pre-Admission Surgical Services (PASS) Provider is a vital part of the Surgical Services team who coordinates the preoperative assessment and evaluation of the surgical patient; striving to integrate patient care across the continuum of healthcare services in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, families, and patients. In this role, you will:- Ensure safe and effective peri-operative assessment and care of surgical patients in partnership with anesthesia providers.
- Conduct a history and physical, order labs, EKG, and x-rays. When necessary, make referrals for further evaluation (i. e. cardiology, pulmonology).
- Effectively identify and evaluate findings, while complying with anesthesia evaluation protocols and guidelines.
- Assess surgical patients for medical and anesthesia clearance, enhance and improve quality of care through the pre-surgical screening of surgical patients; including increasing efficiencies for day of surgery along with improved patient satisfaction.
