Health Navigation Behavioral and Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, where you will play a crucial part in delivering integrated mental health care to our diverse community in San Diego, California. Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments with consideration given to the patient's physical health conditions which may influence their psychological wellbeing.\n
- Develop personalized and integrated treatment plans that address both psychiatric and medical concerns, ensuring a holistic approach to care.\n
- Offer individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's needs and circumstances.\n
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to coordinate treatment and promote optimal patient outcomes.\n
- Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective support.\n
- Educate patients regarding the connection between physical and mental health, equipping them with tools to manage their conditions effectively.\n
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy in all patient records.\n
- Participate actively in case discussions, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions to stay updated on best practices and recent research in the field.\n
You will primarily work with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, many of whom manage co-occurring medical conditions. This population may include adults struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health disorders paired with chronic medical issues. Your role is essential in guiding these individuals towards improved mental health and overall well-being.
Qualifications\nThe ideal candidate will possess:

- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.\n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.\n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.\n
- The ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold ethical standards, and ensure patient confidentiality.\n
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a willingness to embrace technology in service delivery.\n
- A collaborative mindset, prepared to work within an interdisciplinary team.\n
While not mandatory, experience working with patients facing mental health challenges in conjunction with chronic medical issues will be highly regarded. Familiarity with integrated care models will enhance your ability to respond to patient needs effectively.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe compensation package for this position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience. Additional benef
