ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a MRI Technologist to work a WIP position at our Newark Hospital.
Schedule:
* 3 out of 4 weekends
* weekends dayshift .
As a MRI Technologist:
* Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols
* Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
* Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system
* Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented
* Performs QC and is able to digitize films
* Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team
* Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
* Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients , including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.
Requirements:
* Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
* Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.
* 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
* Experience with Siemens products preferred
