Do you have a spark for working with electrical and mechanical components? We have an opening in our Pikeville location for a PLC Electrician that might be made for you In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting state of the art computerized and mechanical equipment This position pays $31.80 per hour. You will work day shift for the first 6 months, then must be open to a possible night shift. You will partner with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing  

 

  • Safely Execute – You will be responsible for understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, and quality procedures to drive forward production.
  • Be a Technology Expert – You will work on coding programs, perform on-line testing, debug programs and applications.
  • Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying your PLC knowledge – You will be troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting on-the-spot machine repair. You will need a firm focus and understanding of programmable logic controllers, electrical diagrams and coding.
  • Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions – Your going to be identifying and examining production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis. Investigating and repairing electrical & mechanical systems such as pneumatics, drives and hydraulics, and conveyors.
  • Prioritizing Innovation and Communication – You will actively seeking ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings while maintaining an open dialogue with supervisor regarding day-to-day activities.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • High School Diploma/GED plus two years of maintenance experience OR 2-year technical degree
  • Ability to pass evaluation test and practical hands on evaluation
  • Coordinate work with others to develop, test, install, and modify programs
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems
  • Great attitude working under stressful and high-pressure scenarios
