Right Of Way Agent I
Payrate: $40-43/hr. W-2, plus $100/month parking reimbursement 6 month assignment Schedule: Mon-Thurs; with Friday 1/2 day Onsite: Downtown Houston Benefits: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance is available. Health savings account, Flexible spending accounts, Life insurance and Retirement plan are also available.
We are seeking a Right of Way Agent I for an 'onsite' assignment with our midstream client in downtown Houston. Responsible for performing land and Right-of-Way (ROW) tasks associated with inquiries and request from third parties (e.g. landowners, developers, state/federal agencies, etc.) regarding encroachments (intrusions on easements rights) on, over or across Company pipeline assets and facilities throughout the United States. Including, ability to work in databases; understand easement terms and obligations, read engineering drawings and alignment sheets; and be familiar with GoogleEarth/GIS.
Skills And Knowledge:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the Land and Right of Way profession; and/or equivalent experience in dealing with real estate issues, landowners, engineers, developers, and/or local, state and federal agencies.
- Knowledge or experience in ArcGIS preferred.
- AA, BA or BS degree, with business administration, law, communications or public relations emphasis is preferred.
- Must have strong communication and organization skills, interface and deal effectively with all levels of personnel and public.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment, be flexible and able to adapt to changes in work activities.
- Process requests rapidly and accurately, set priorities, work under pressure and follow through with assigned tasks.
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Detail-oriented to ensure consistent data and record-keeping, and to maintain consistent quality in legal documents and letters.
- Midstream (pipeline) experience is highly desirable.
