Over the course of 10-12 weeks, as an R&D Intern, you'll work in our Headquarters located in located in Garner, NC. You’ll provide an encompassing experience through a variety of projects that support our business within the Research & Development Team.
The program’s primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that aligns with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.
What you’ll do:
- Become familiar with the product development lifecycle and Stage Gate project management system
- Gain understanding of product production processes through production line tour and audit
- Gain project management experience with New Products, Process Improvement projects
- Execute a continuous improvement project (savings or operational efficiency)
- Learn to design and execute a production test in the production environment.
- Review your test findings key internal stakeholders for approval

- Pursuing a Bachelors, Master or PhD in Food Science, Poultry, Animal or Food Science or related field an expected graduation date of December 2025 through June 2026
- Proficiency in math and background in statistics
- Interest in poultry/meat food manufacturing
- Previous coursework on lean and or lean Six Sigma practices
- Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
