Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7+ years of experience in civil litigation defense or insurance defense to support a partner whose practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice and dental malpractice defense. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney to take on a pivotal role with a firm that values excellence, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a variety of insurance defense and civil litigation cases, with a primary focus on medical malpractice and dental malpractice.
  • Collaborate with and provide support to a partner, while also independently managing your own caseload.
  • Draft legal documents, conduct depositions, and represent clients in court.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations, providing clear and sound legal counsel.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 7+ years of experience in civil litigation defense or insurance defense, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in medical malpractice or dental malpractice defense.
  • Strong litigation skills, including deposition and trial experience.
  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
