Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain injection molding processes to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.
- Troubleshoot molding defects and process issues, including warpage, sink marks, and other molding-related concerns.
- Support mold maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve mold performance and reliability.
- Provide hands-on technical support for large-scale plastic injection molding equipment, including approximately 1,000-ton presses.
- Analyze process conditions and recommend adjustments to improve cycle times, product quality, and manufacturing performance.
- Support new product, tooling, equipment, and process launches.
- Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain appropriate process documentation, work instructions, and technical records.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
