The Commercial Refrigeration Gasket, Cooler Door Technician fabricates and installs refrigeration door gaskets and supports door hardware repairs for customers in Miramar. This on-site role is essential to helping maintain proper door seals, safe operation, and a professional customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Measure cooler and refrigeration door areas to ensure accurate gasket fit and alignment.
• Fabricate refrigeration door gaskets using basic tools and following established checklists.
• Replace door hardware components, including hinges and latches, as needed.
• Install and secure gasket strips to ensure proper sealing and closure performance.
• Inspect door conditions and troubleshoot common issues related to gasket performance.
• Use hand tools safely and effectively while following job-specific procedures.
• Follow a clean, organized workflow and keep the workspace neat and professional.
• Complete strip, suite, and closure adjustments to confirm smooth operation.
• Communicate clearly with customers and the team regarding job status and outcomes.
• Document work completed and follow internal standards for quality and consistency.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable using hand tools and working with mechanical components.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a strong focus on quality.
• Ability to follow checklists and complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work primarily weekdays with occasional installs as needed.
• Availability to work on-site in Miramar.
• Nice to have: Refrigeration or repair experience.
• Nice to have: Gasket fabrication experience and/or walk-in work and glass door experience (we will train the right person).
