About this Position: 

The Quality Engineer will minimize supplier quality issues completing problem investigation, parts analysis and report initiation for quality delivery and packaging concerns. You will initiate trouble containment and ensure minimal line impact and optimal product quality and manage activities for containment cost recovery and product disposition.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze parts to the drawing and specifications to assure conformance 
  • Assure problem containment of parts and completed power units
  • Authority to remove parts for investigation
  • Responsible for reviewing the previous shifts reports, and completing full investigation
  • Contact supplier to report issues and requests corrective action
  • Work with sorting contractors and suppliers to provide direction concerning quality issues
  • Daily confirmation of sort effectiveness of current quality concerns
  • Effectively generate interest in new ideas within the team

 

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 0-6 years’ experience dependent upon education level
  • 1 term as a Honda co-op or in a similar manufacturing environment preferred

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

Desired skills:

  • Quality assurance, blueprint reading, part measurement, Catia/3D, MS office proficient, negotiation and communication skills.

 

Additional Position Factors:

  • Open Office Environment, walking, sorting parts, limited travel, and overtime possible (Approximately 4 hours of overtime per week)
  • 2nd shift position, hours are 4:30pm-1am
