Our client in the financial industry is seeking a talented and highly motivated Teradata Developer to join their team. As a Teradata Developer, you will be part of the Financial Crimes technology team supporting large scale AML monitoring and surveillance data assets. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of the Teradata platform, and demonstrated experience in hands-on solution architecture and end-to-end application design.

Job Title: Teradata Developers (Application Programmer V)

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $65/hour - depending on experience 

What's the Job?

  • Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify and/or maintain applications in the Financial Crimes technology to accomplish business goals.
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the maintaining the application.
  • Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of business requirements, business environments, and technological alternatives to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements, estimate work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle, and perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.

What's Needed?

  • At least 10+ years of experience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica 10.x UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys, Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala) and Data analysis.
  • Demonstrated data sourcing, data analysis and modeling skills with the ability to build innovative data provisioning models to support large scale financial crimes data sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience in executing database intensive development, data migrations and conversions, and working with SQL performance tuning.
  • Good experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery, and change management (CICD ) - Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.
  • Effective communication and listening skills, and the ability to engage business stakeholders and apt at business engagement and requirement discovery.
