Job Description
Beech Valley is seeking an experienced Technical Accounting Consultant to support a leading advisory firm's client engagements on a project basis. This role will provide specialized accounting expertise and augment existing engagement teams as workload demands fluctuate. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting knowledge, strong financial reporting experience, and the ability to quickly contribute across a variety of client projects.
\nPlease note: Our opportunities are NOT for those looking for only night and weekend work as our clients are looking for those who can work consistently during regular business hours (20-40+ hours/week)
\nWhat You’ll Do
\n- \n
- Support technical accounting projects across a diverse client portfolio\n
- Research and analyze complex accounting issues under U.S. GAAP\n
- Assist with revenue recognition assessments and implementation of ASC 606 guidance\n
- Support accounting and reporting related to business combinations and acquisition transactions\n
- Prepare technical accounting memos, position papers, and supporting documentation\n
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures\n
- Collaborate with engagement teams to provide accounting guidance and project support\n
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc technical accounting initiatives as needed\n
What We’re Looking For
\n- \n
- Strong technical accounting experience within public accounting, consulting, or a corporate accounting environment\n
- Hands-on experience with revenue recognition and ASC 606\n
- Experience supporting business combinations and purchase accounting analyses\n
- Strong financial reporting and financial statement preparation experience\n
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting research methodologies\n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing client needs\n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n
- CPA preferred\n

- Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda\n
- Prior consulting or outsourced accounting experience\n
- Exposure to SEC reporting and public company environments\n
- Experience supporting transaction-related accounting projects\n
