Prevent Anxiety Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This full-time role invites you to provide specialized mental health treatment focusing on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand the unique histories and needs of patients, forming the basis for tailored treatment plans.
- Design and implement individualized therapy approaches aimed at promoting recovery and resilience among patients, ensuring the integration of evidence-based practices.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and complementary health professionals to build a cohesive treatment strategy, ensuring holistic care for your patients.
- Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, equipping patients with immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
- Engage in ongoing education and skill enhancement through case consultations, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications- A completed master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
- A robust understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment for clients.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing trauma-focused therapy is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams in a mental health setting.
