Wehave an exciting opportunity to join our team as an experienced and certified Speech Language Pathologist at our Allan Cott School. The Speech Therapist will work predominantly with children with ASD and other language disorders. Excellent communication skills are required to work with other professionals in the field including teachers, occupational therapists and behavior analysts staff. Glenwoods Allan Cott School provides comprehensive ABA services to children ages 6 21. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Applied Behavior Analysis / ABA Therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Assess and identify specific speech, language, and/or communication needs for development of the treatment plan, to establish a baseline of childs present skills for judging future progress, and to help plan and conduct treatment sessions.
Work with a multidisciplinary treatment team to consult and share information with staff and parents regarding assessment and treatment.
Collaborate with other clinician on overall language and communication program.
Work collaboratively with agency professionals to ensure that individuals served on assigned caseload are provided highest quality therapy services available
Complies with Code of Ethics and demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
Fulfills professional development requirements and other assignments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

2+ year(s) of experience in autism, developmental disabilities and/or mental health related behaviors
Knowledge of Autism, Emotional Disturbance, and other Developmental Disabilities

EDUCATION/LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

Masters degree and certification in Speech Language Pathology
CCC-SLP required
Current AL drivers license and must be insurable through Glenwoods contracting insurer.
Certification in agency provided training in 1st Aid, CPR, MCS (Managing Crisis Safely)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must clear all background and pre-hire screenings.
