Pay: $31.61 - $47.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Provides care to patients with chronic lung disease.
Responsibilities:
- Provides patient assessment and care, including collaborative care, case management, education, and discharge.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings for the purpose of managing/reviewing patient care and treatment protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Serves as a resource to staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Assists with the development of educational materials for patients. Organizes and facilitates support groups for patients and their families.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure if required by law.
- 1 year as Respiratory Therapist (reg).
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
