Essential Job Functions:

  • Machine tending automation system cell controller design
  • CNC machine tool, robot, washer, gage/CMM, marker, etc. automation equipment interfacing
  • Electrical wiring, troubleshooting and various automation peripherals setup
  • Program PLC/HMI (Allen-Bradley preferred), robot (Fanuc) and vision (iRvision or Cognex)
  • Perform automation cell runoff at factory and customer site
  • Prepare detailed design specification and documentation
  • Customer training and technical support
  • Other duties assigned as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in EE/ME/CS Engineering
  • Familiar with manufacturing automation/industrial robotic system
  • Strong electrical design, wiring and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Proficient in PLC/HMI/Robot/Vision programming
  • Proficient in mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting
  • Familiar with major industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, etc.)
  • Familiar with safety circuit and safety relay/controller configuration
  • Ability to learn various new automation technology
  • Strong communication skills including read & write technical documents

Work Environment:

A general office environment will be experienced. Occasionally will spend time in various manufacturing environments.
