Position Summary

This role will create and execute a strategic marketing vision that supports enrollment goals and academic programs, combining expertise in marketing, data analytics, and enrollment management to attract, engage, and retain students. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of marketing principles and trends, and a track record of success in strategic marketing management. They will work closely with recruitment, admissions, financial aid, academic leadership, and communications teams to drive the college's visibility, appeal, and growth, ensuring a cohesive approach to recruiting prospective students.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Proven experience in strategic marketing with a focus on enrollment and communication, effectively supporting outreach to diverse community, student, and prospective student populations.
  • Team Management: Strong leadership skills to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing activation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
  • Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of marketing principles, campaign development, client relationships, and best practices across digital, social, print, and broadcast media.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Analytical mindset to interpret data, analyze market trends, and draw actionable insights for improved campaign effectiveness.
  • Project and Budget Management: Experience in planning, executing, and overseeing projects, managing budgets, and allocating resources effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal clients.
  • Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen: Ability to drive results and adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure environments with multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or a business-related field; Master’s degree preferred. Official transcripts required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years at the Director/VP level, including five (5) years in executive management, with a strong preference for higher education experience.
  • Proven experience in strategic brand marketing, digital marketing, campaign strategy, integrated marketing, and Agency Client/Account Services.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM platforms, social media management tools), data analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to work proactively and autonomously in critical situations while demonstrating a thorough attention to details.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, and personnel supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading people and managing performance; Expertise in recruiting, mentoring, and developing marketing staff.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple projects.
  • Managed team of 20+ employees $5MM+
  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Lead a team of 20 marketing professionals, responsible for client relationships, strategic campaign development, and maintaining high-quality deliverables. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • People Management: Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of strategy, creativity, and accountability aligned with Dallas College’s strategic goals and brand identity.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term vision and goals for the department, guiding Dallas College’s growth by formulating actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Enrollment and Retention Marketing: Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns in collaboration with recruitment, admissions, and student success teams to support enrollment objectives.
  • Client Services: Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding needs and providing consistent, clear communication.
  • Collaboration: Work across departments and with external partners to ensure marketing activations align with Dallas College’s messaging, values, and guidelines.
  • Project Management: Define project objectives, create detailed project plans, and allocate resources to ensure goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Functional Development: Build and scale a world-class marketing activation capability, instilling best practices and inspiring teams to exceed expectations.
  • Budget Management: Monitor budgets for various areas and projects, ensuring adherence to Dallas College guidelines and targets.
  • Professional Development: Complete required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year and perform other duties as assigned.
