Ballast Construction is seeking a qualified Construction Superintendent to add to our growing team. We are a rapidly growing company and are looking to build a team that will grow along with us.

We are a Coral Gables, FL based commercial construction company. We specialize in all types of commercial construction ranging from healthcare, office, industrial, and multifamily.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Interpreting plans and specifications.
  2. Works closely with architects and other professionals to execute projects.
  3. Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
  4. Navigates and understands building codes.
  5. Maintains project document control and travels to building sites as required.
  6. Works closely with project managers and updates project schedule.
  7. Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
  8. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
  9. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
  10. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
  11. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
  12. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in construction management or other related fields.
  2. Familiarity with PROCORE construction management software.
  3. Strong leadership qualities.
  4. Strong negotiation skills.
  5. Deadline and detail-oriented.

Work Hours and Benefits: This position is a full-time position. Ballast Construction offers full benefits such as health insurance and a 401k plan with the company matching up to 4% of the employee's salary invested in the 401k.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of related experience is required.
  3. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products is required.
  4. Experience using PROCORE project management software.
