An exciting new opportunity has just opened up in Colorado Springs A 105 bed+ facility is seeking a dynamic Progressive Care Nurse to join their department.

This Progressive Care Nurse, also known as Step-Down Nurses or Intermediate Care Nurses, will specialize in providing intermediate-level care to patients who require close monitoring and more intensive nursing interventions than those in general medical-surgical units, yet do not need intensive care unit (ICU) level of care. This individual responsibilities encompass monitoring and assessing vital signs, administering medications, managing individualized care plans tailored to patients' medical conditions, and educating patients and families on treatment plans and self-care practices. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, Progressive Care Nurses ensure comprehensive patient care, respond to emergencies, maintain detailed medical records, and uphold compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards. The progressive care RN will also provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families, contributing to positive patient outcomes and overall quality of care in healthcare settings.
