About this role

Carrier Commercial HVAC seeks a dynamic and experienced Chiller Engineer/Specialist who will focus on Data Centers clients to join our growing team. The Chiller Engineer/Specialist - Data Centers will focus on air- and water-cooled Chillers and will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, engineering, operations, and program management to execute the strategy in partnership with our global data center vertical lead.

The Chiller Engineer/Specialist will work onsite in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to implement effective go-to-market plans, i.e., messaging, positioning, and sales enablement tools
  • Work closely with program teams to prioritize, align, and monitor product development
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute the data center product roadmap
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback and market demand
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and drive product improvements
  • Provide support and training to the sales team on data center products, solutions, and sales processes
  • Analyze market research and analysis to identify opportunities, understand customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly track product performance against goals

    Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    • 5+ years of work experience in the design, sales, or applications of commercial HVAC systems

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical
      • Master's degree, MBA
      • Data Center industry experiencein water- or air-cooled chillers
      • Commercial applied experience i.e., centrifugal chillers, CDU's and airside
      • Selling commercial applied equipment i.e., centrifugal water-cooled and air-cooled chillers, air handling equipment
      • Marketing, product marketing, or sales experience
      • Analytical, gather and interpret data, and make data-driven decisions
      • English communication skills, written and verbal, across a broad audience
      • Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams
      • Strategic thinking, seeing the big picture while paying attention to detail
      • Project management execution skills
      • Adapt and adjust approach or solutions to fit customer needs
      • Build rapport and trust with customers, i.e., clear communication, active listening, and presenting effective solutions
