Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon willing to also do elective cases for an employed position to support its high-level, complex trauma program. NWTHS is the designated trauma center for the Texas Panhandle, capable of treating acetabular, pelvic, and periarticular fractures. With a dedicated EMS helicopter, NWTHS services a 150-mile service area which includes the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles, southern Colorado, and eastern New Mexico.

Opportunity highlights:

  • BC/BE Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Completion of an Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship (preferably OTA-accredited)
  • Hospital is a Level II trauma center with large catchment area
  • Inpatient rehabilitation and hospital-owned outpatient PT center available
  • Join our team of 3 fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeons
  • Seeking a candidate also willing to perform some elective cases

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a tertiary care facility and teaching hospital known throughout the region for cardiac, stroke, emergency, and children s services. As a Level II and Lead Trauma Center for the 26-county Texas Panhandle and certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, the hospital treats over 64,000 patients in its ED each year. NWTHS features a Children s Hospital, The Childbirth Center, and Surgical services in robotics, cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, bariatrics, head and neck, orthopedics, and ortho trauma.
