Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the care of coupleting postpartum mother/baby combinations or other clinical care duties as assigned. The RN is responsible for directing all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice and federal, state, and local regulations. The RN incorporates knowledge of patient’s age specific development and cultural diversity into the plan of care and contributes to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstrates positive outcomes in the delivery of patient care.
o Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License
o Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification on hire
o NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-within 90 Days of employment
o STABLE within 90 Days of employment
o Specialty Certification highly preferred within 3 years of hire.
