Summary

Phoenix Capital Group, a division of Gulf Coast Bank & Trust offers accounts receivable financing solutions for the transportation and logistics industry.

The Senior Collateral Analyst position is responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service to customers through the daily management of a team of employees. In addition to performing as a Collateral Analyst, responsibilities include but are not limited to, motivating, recognizing, and rewarding team members and identifying opportunities for coaching and training. The ideal candidate will be results oriented and find solutions to challenges or opportunities. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for assisting the Collateral Analyst Supervisor with development, analyses and implementation of staffing, training, scheduling, and reward/recognition programs.

Responsibilities

  1. Provides daily direction and communication to employees so that funding batches are worked in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
  2. Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency, and service to both internal and external customers.
  3. Provides statistical, performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team member.
  4. Writes and administers monthly performance reviews for skill improvement.
  5. Is available for employees who experience work and/or personal problems providing appropriate coaching, counseling, direction, and resolution.
  6. Ensures employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.
  7. Responds to and resolves employee relations issues expressed by team members.
  8. Creates and maintains a high-quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.
  9. Addresses disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy.
  10. Prepares warnings and communicates effectively with employees on warnings and makes effective/appropriate decisions relative to corrective action as required.
  11. Shares continual responsibility for deciding how to manage the employees, ensuring batches are handled efficiently and effectively.
  12. Establishes work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.
  13. Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or employee concerns.
  14. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Skills/Experience/Education

  1. High School diploma or equivalency required; Associates degree, preferred.
  2. 1 year of call center experience, required; 2+ years of related experience preferred.
  3. Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Keen focus on customer service experience and overall client satisfaction.
  6. Proven ability to coach, manage, and lead a team.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  9. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  10. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office.

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
  2. Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  3. Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  4. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  5. Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
