The Program Management Team is responsible for supporting the Design Team priorities by implementing sound project management practices to manage the improvement of existing and development of new custom systems for Apple’s Retail program including lighting, merchandise display systems, and architectural systems to support Apple’s Retail development needs, ensuring the highest quality architectural design and Brand impact.

Description

The Program Manager Lead will manage a team that oversees the development of construction-ready, integrated custom building systems for Apple’s Retail Real Estate and Development group worldwide. Responsibilities include:

  1. Work with all of Apple Retail to provide maintainable solutions that meet operational and aesthetic needs.
  2. Provide strategic direction, formulating and executing comprehensive initiative programs that support Apple retail store projects.
  3. Oversee a team of Project Managers, establishing best practices, processes, and tools.
  4. Manage overall team budget and oversee reporting to Finance.
  5. Track team workload and resource management.
  6. Work with Director to establish priorities.
  7. Maintain cross-functional relationships.
  8. Establish strategy for a given Initiative (RASCI and approval path), identifying key partners.
  9. Present as needed to senior leadership for approval to proceed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of project management within the Architectural, Construction and/or Industrial Design industry with team managing experience.
  • Knowledge of the requirements to develop building systems and technologies, and their integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide range of design, construction, and technology specialists.
  • Proven strong leadership skills and ability to develop meaningful internal and external partnerships.
  • Experience leading a team to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Mac OS and Mac software such as Keynote, Numbers and Pages.
  • Excel proficiency is a plus.
  • Familiarity with common industry scheduling software and budgeting software.
  • Retail Development Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,900 and $269,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
