Assisted Living Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Assisted Living Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the day-to-day, twenty four hour operation of the Assisted Living program at Carroll Lutheran Village, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing Assisted Living.
- Develop, implement, and review written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Assisted Living program.
- Provide Supervision to the Delegating Nurse and Memory Care Program Manager
- Develop and coordinate Quality Assurance Program for Diven House.
- Coordinate with the Human Resources department to recruit and select personnel.
- Maintain a sufficient number of licensed/certified nursing and ancillary staff for each tour of duty to ensure that quality care is provided.
- Make daily rounds of the Assisted Living department to ensure that needs of all residents are met. Address any areas requiring additional attention.
- Correspond with residents, families and regulatory agencies, as appropriate.
- Attend and participate in continuing education programs to maintain licensure/certification as Program Manager.
- Work in consultation with: RN Delegating Nurse, Health Care Center Director of Nursing, Employee Health/Infection Control Officer, Social Work, Medical Director and Director of Health Care Center and AL, as appropriate.
- Assist the Safety Officer in developing safety standards for the Assisted Living Department.
- Participate in the development of a written service plan (preliminary and comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems or needs of the resident, indicates the care to be given, goals to be accomplished, and which professional service is responsible for each element of care.
- Scheduling of service plans and assessments.
- Ensure that all personnel involved in providing care to the resident is aware of the resident’s service plan. Ensure that personnel refer to the resident’s service plan prior to administering daily care to the resident.
ADMINISTRATIVE & OTHER DUTIES:
Prepare and implement the department budget and submit to the Director of HCC & AL for review, recommendations, and approval.
Keep abreast of economic conditions/situations, and recommend to the Director of HCC & AL opportunities that promote quality care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Meet COMAR 10.07.14 requirement for Program Manager including a 4 year degree
Meet COMAR10.07.14 requirement for Program Manager certification.
At least three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility preferred.
Leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
Ability to have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
Ability to willingly seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
