Job Description
We are seeking an Experienced Fine Dining Server to provide friendly, personable, high-quality service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This part-time position offers one to two evening shifts per week, reporting to the Owner as part of a two-server front-of-house team. Shifts begin at 4:30 p.m.; business hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 5–10 p.m. Server shift schedule prepared monthly. Occasional holidays and onsite private events outside normal business hours may be required. Compensation is $3.00 per hour plus tips.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive guest service and professional table service.
- Light cleaning, oversee cleanliness of restrooms during shift.
- Accurately follow daily seating plan.
- Prepare tables and maintain an inviting dining environment.
- Take orders accurately and ensure order details are communicated correctly.
- Discuss menu items and offer appropriate suggestions through conversation with customers.
- Operate the POS system and handle money accurately.
- Answer phones using professional telephone etiquette.
- Coordinate effectively with the two-server team and other staff during busy shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Food service work experience and knowledge of fine dining service.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others under pressure.
- Ability to follow management directives and policies accurately with little to no supervision.
- Knowledge of the menu and ability to guide customers through menu selections.
- Ability to operate a POS system and handle money accurately.
- Friendly, personable, high-quality customer service approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of fine dining service experience.
- Strong fine dining service and menu knowledge.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Teamwork and multitasking abilities.
