As a field-based medical expert, you will report into the Head of Medical Affairs CSL Behring Canada.

The MSL supports CSL Behring’s products and therapeutic areas by advancing scientific and collaborative relationships and being a conduit for knowledge exchange with key members of external healthcare communities and internal stakeholders towards optimized patient outcomes. The MSL function in general is knowledge-based, anchored in educating internal and external stakeholders in the science behind, and safe and appropriate use of our products. The MSL supports the generation of medical-scientific knowledge and applies subject matter expertise to special projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and maintain a level of medical-scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL Behring Canada’s products. Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Gather and evaluate new information as it applies to CSL Behring’s products and areas of therapeutic interest.
  • Identify appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with which to develop professional relationships to ensure exchange of medical-scientific information relevant to CSL Behring Canada’s products and areas of therapeutic interest.
  • Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies).
  • Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL Behring’s Investigator Study (IIS) Program process in response to unsolicited requests. Communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.
  • Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions.
  • Attend scientific and medical meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, pharmacy, or advanced degree in science/medicine (MD, PhD, PharmD)
  • 5+ years' relevant pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical industry experience
  • Prior experience providing MSL level support in specific therapeutic areas
  • Language requirement: English plus one other language, ideally French

Le chef des affaires médicales soutient les produits et les domaines thérapeutiques de CSL Behring Canada en faisant progresser les relations scientifiques et de collaboration et en servant d'intermédiaire pour l'échange de connaissances avec les membres clés des communautés de soins de santé externes et les intervenants internes en vue d'optimiser les résultats pour les patients. La fonction de la MSL est généralement basée sur la connaissance, ancrée dans l'éducation des parties prenantes internes et externes sur la science sous-jacente et l'utilisation sûre et appropriée de nos produits. Le MSL soutient la production de connaissances médico-scientifiques et applique l'expertise en la matière à des projets spéciaux. 

Responsabilités :

- Acquérir et maintenir un niveau de connaissances médico-scientifiques dans le(s) domaine(s) thérapeutique(s) assigné(s) et/ou les états pathologiques liés aux produits de CSL Behring. Interpréter et diffuser de manière précise et conforme des données scientifiques, cliniques et économiques équilibrées et factuelles. Recueillir et évaluer les nouvelles informations qui s'appliquent aux produits de CSL Behring et aux domaines d'intérêt thérapeutique.

- Identifier les Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) et les professionnels de la santé (HCP) régionaux avec lesquels développer des relations professionnelles afin d'assurer l'échange d'informations médico-scientifiques relatives aux produits de CSL Behring Canada et aux domaines d'intérêt thérapeutique.

- Proposer des programmes éducatifs approuvés aux publics concernés du secteur de la santé (par exemple, les professionnels de la santé, les organismes de gestion des soins, les pharmacies spécialisées).

- Fournir des domaines d'intérêt et des informations générales de haut niveau concernant le processus du programme d'étude de CSL Behring (IIS) en réponse à des demandes spontanées. Communiquer les progrès des IIS approuvés et soutenus.

- Recueillir, traduire et communiquer des informations exploitables et conformes à la stratégie à partir d'interactions scientifiques, éducatives et dans le cadre de conférences.

- Assister à des réunions scientifiques et médicales.

Qualifications :

- Licence en pharmacie, Diplôme d'infirmier – ière, ou diplôme supérieur en sciences/médecine (MD, PhD, PharmD).

- Plus de 5 ans d'expérience pertinente dans l'industrie pharmaceutique/biopharmaceutique

- Expérience préalable de soutien au niveau MSL dans des domaines thérapeutiques spécifiques.
