A leading single-specialty ambulatory surgery center located in the heart of New York City is now seeking an experienced Medical Director Anesthesiology to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center specializes in endoscopic procedures and currently performs 50+ procedures every day. The center boasts 7 operating suites and combines a team of experienced GI Physicians, Nurses, and Technical staff. This location is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

The Anesthesiology Director will cover clinical operations of one room which currently performs 8-10 cases per day depending on schedule. This role will have administrative oversight of the anesthesia department which includes 2 full-time Anesthesiologists and 5+ per-diem providers. The Anesthesiology Director provides expert leadership and clinical supervision, ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations, develops professional development programs for staff, leads recruitment activities, and has oversight of department fiscal budget. This is a full-time Monday-Friday schedule with no overtime expectation.

What Makes You Awesome:

  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology
  • Valid New York state medical license as a practicing Anesthesiologist
  • Demonstrated experience in providing anesthesia services in a similar setting, preferably with expertise in GI/Endo procedures.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate and schedule a team of providers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the medical board, administrative staff, and other stakeholders.
