This is an in-office role.
Qualifications & Experience:- Strongly preferred knowledge of or ability to learn Netsuite or Sage300 or similar ERP.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
- Knowledge of accrual-based accounting.
- Fund accounting experience is a big plus.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite with proficient-level skills in Excel.
- 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Overall general ledger process knowledge, including closing the books on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and accruals during month-end closings.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and follow up to clear reconciling items.
- Assist in the preparation of standard and ad hoc monthly reporting for senior management.
- Assist management in preparing quarterly and year-end deliverables.
- Support management in preparing required schedules for external auditors.
- Provide subject matter expertise assistance in assigned areas to management.
- Perform special projects and requests from management and operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and construction cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and accounting software.
- Uncompromising integrity and confidentiality.
- Sound understanding of bookkeeping and the ability to apply the concepts to specific situations.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Solutions-oriented person.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing assignments.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility to get the job done.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines.
