Job Description:

DrBalcony, an innovative and rapidly growing civil engineering start-up, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Engineer to ensure the highest standards in our projects, focusing on the design and construction of balcony and structural systems. In this mid-level position, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality and safety of our engineering solutions by monitoring, testing, and inspecting project work to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and customer expectations.

You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to identify and address quality issues, establish quality control procedures, and drive continuous improvement in all project phases. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer with experience in quality assurance within civil engineering or construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure all project deliverables meet engineering standards, safety codes, and client specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and audits on materials, processes, and construction to ensure compliance with design plans and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to identify quality issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure quality objectives are met at every stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Review technical drawings and project plans to ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective action logs.
  • Train team members on quality control protocols and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist in the development of continuous improvement strategies to enhance product and service quality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the civil engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, construction codes, and quality control methodologies.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Experience with quality control tools and techniques, including statistical process control and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment.
