Sodexo is seeking a Diet Clerk (Dietetic Technician) for Artman - Liberty Lutheran Community located in Ambler, Pennsylvania.  This Diet Clerk will manage the diet and tray card system by entering meal orders and diet preferences and ensuring order accuracy.  This individual will regularly engage with residents and be involved in food service operations as needed.

Our not-for-profit team of long-term caregivers has experience in Personal Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.  Residents of our community have the peace of mind knowing a full continuum of health care is available on site. 

Reporting to our Food Service Director, the successful candidate will:

• enter diet preferences into the database management system;
• manage our diet database and ensure accuracy of orders;
• engage residents in conversations around food offerings and menus;
• work with a fulltime RD to regularly interact with residents and provide basic diet education; and/or
• support our operations team with food service tasks as needed.

• experience in a senior living setting, preferred;
• knowledge of various therapeutic diets and modified texture diets;
• database management experience;
• strong verbal and written communication skills;
• strong leadership skills;
• the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff; and/or
• excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our residents

Basic Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice in a Dietetic Technician Program as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), Bachelor’s degree with completion of required coursework in a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) as dictated by ACEND, or required coursework and supervised practice in a Certified Dietary Manager Program as dictated by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM)

Credentials Requirement:

• Meets eligibility requirements for Nutrition & Dietetics Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers (CBDM)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
