A 200 bed acute care hospital near Rochester, NY is announcing an open competitive position for a RN Assistant Director Med Surg ICU. This full-time position, primarily during the day, offers a competitive salary range

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), the RN Assistant Director Med Surg ICU is responsible for professional nursing services, daily management, and supervision of the assigned units. The role includes developing departmental policies, assisting with quality and risk management, and collaborating with other nursing leadership and departments to implement and evaluate services aimed at continuous performance improvement.

Applicants should be graduates from a state-approved school of nursing, licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York, with a preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). They should have 1-2 years of experience as a nursing leader and direct clinical supervision experience, with evidence of continuing education in leadership and management. Current BLS and ACLS certification and completion of a Critical Care course are preferred.
