Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Security Coordinator to join our team In this role you will get to provide technical guidance to project managers in conducting the necessary planning, coordination, and implementation of security requirements for all the clients construction projects as outlined in the Construction Security Standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Meet with project managers to provide recommendations and guidance on how to maintain the required security requirements on Agency-wide projects.
  2. Participate in construction project meetings with project teams and various stakeholders to address potential and active security related issues.
  3. Document and track security related incidents/violations.
  4. Conduct follow-ups with project managers to ensure identified security violations are resolved.
  5. Provide written and oral guidance to project managers and project teams on equipment delivery procedures for construction projects.
  6. Provide written and oral guidance to program managers and project teams on the development of construction compounds according to the Construction Standards.
  7. Conduct project security inspections by surveying construction sites to ensure the correct security requirements are implemented and maintained.
  8. Document and track security related incidents/violations discovered during inspections. Conduct follow-ups with project managers and project teams to ensure identified security violations are resolved.
  9. Advise project managers when the need for officer support for project tasks is required; assist in the coordination to obtain officer support which will require contacting Construction Security Section personnel to initiate the process.
  10. Provide construction security inspection reports within 48 hours after inspection completion.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  1. Must have a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance throughout the life of the contract.
  2. Minimum of five (5), preferably eight (8), years of experience in law enforcement or security.
  3. Knowledgeable with OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  4. Knowledgeable in construction security standards and policies.
  5. Demonstrated ability in reviewing, editing, and creating construction security standards and/or procedures.
  6. Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials.
  7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in an effective manner with minimal direction.
  8. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  9. Ability to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and make repetitive motions.
  10. Subject to internal and external working environments which may include extreme cold or heat for long periods of time.
