Responsibilities

  • Interpret and take ownership of technical requirements provided by clients.
  • Develop electrical architectures that meet technical needs while considering budget, recurring costs, and scheduling constraints.
  • Perform detailed design and analysis for new or modified circuits, including schematic design for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) related to power supplies, battery chargers, and battery management systems.
  • Actively contribute to the product qualification process, ensuring new products comply with client requirements and industry standards, such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Create acceptance test procedures (ATPs) for sub-assemblies and top-level components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges for both new designs and existing products.
  • Conduct prototype and qualification unit testing.
  • Participate in the development, verification, testing, and documentation of software, following DO-178 standards (preferred but not required).
  • Use simulation tools like Matlab or PSPICE for modeling design concepts.
  • Generate engineering documentation, including Test Plans and Test Reports.
  • Support system-level integration and testing of both hardware and software.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) electrical design.
  • BSEE (required) or MSEE (preferred).
  • Expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Knowledge of PWM control for AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, DAQ, etc.) for troubleshooting and testing.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with C/C++ and assembly language for embedded systems (preferred but not required).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Commitment to engineering design policies and capacity to recommend or lead process improvements.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
