Requirements

* Resume must be updated. Their first review will be resume and be quick to reject if not updated with required experience
* BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
* Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience Required

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs directpatient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensedmedical professional. The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient careactivities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for thepersonal needs and comforts of patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintains patient confidentiality of all clients
* Performs duties within scope of practice, as assigned, in anaccurate and timely manner
* Adheres to facility/client policy, procedures and protocolsat all times
* Assists doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers withtreatments, procedures, and tests being performed in a variety of patient caresettings
* Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriateinfection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
* Notifies the supervising nurse of any abnormal findings orconditions
* Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting theneeds of all facilities
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

* Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistantwithin the last three years
* Graduate from certified nursing assistant program withsubsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per staterequirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and ingood-standing
* Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clericalfunctions
* Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
* Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable
* Current CPR if applicable
* TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
* Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
* Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
* Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site
* Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
* Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required
* Computer proficiency required
* Must be at least 18 years of age
