The Clinical Director of Nursing will play a crucial role in the operations of this highly-rated ambulatory surgery center. Working alongside the ASC Administrator, the Nursing Director will lead the staff in clinical education initiatives, assist in the continued development of this already bustling business, and act as the central representative for all aspects of quality improvement and risk management. In addition to this, you’ll have numerous opportunities for continued clinical development, growing your skills along with the staff’s ability.
The Director of Nursing will be well supported both in the Operating Room and out. Overseeing the 4 Operating Rooms is a well-seasoned Surgical Services Charge Nurse, who’s joined by an great Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) who oversees the 12 bed Recovery Unit. Working in a limited ‘bedside’ role, the Clinical Surgery Director will appreciate opportunities to stay current with the best evidence-based care, and in having a direct hand in improving the quality of that care.
Administratively, the RN Director’s responsibilities will be a little more defined, but no less vital to the operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. In addition to the clinical education role described above, you’ll also spearhead staff credentialing and the implementation of engagement initiatives. Controlling inventory, resource scheduling, and maintenance scheduling will play important parts in the development and adherence to effective budgets, which you’ll co-develop with the ASC Administrator.
Performing over 350 procedures per month, this 4 suite multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center keeps its schedule full. Performing procedures that range from orthopedics to ophthalmology, and otolaryngology to sports injury, this surgical center has a strong stable of board-certified surgeons and physicians. Having served the Reno/Tahoe Area for over 15 years and become a staple in the local surgical community, patients are often referred here by the area’s many hospitals.
The Lake Tahoe Area, known for its history, its beauty, and it fun, has something for everyone. If you’re the type who loves the outdoors, you’ll never run out of fun, adventurous activities. Hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and just about anything else await you around every corner. When you’re not out on the trail, you will enjoy historic mining museums, great wineries, and nightlife like only a mountain town could deliver. When the ASC Clinical RN Director is done playing for the day, they can take in a show or play some slots in South Lake Tahoe or Reno.
