Responsibilities:

* Responsible for performing project specific activities such as analysis, evaluation, and testing of system development lifecycle deliverables conforming to project specific plans, procedures, and standards.
* Complete assigned IV&V activities adhering to the overall project schedule
* Works with the design team, peer IV&V team, and Quality Assurance to ensure that the digital systems are developed, tested, deployed, maintained, and operated according to Paragon's Quality program
* Develop test plans and perform testing activities within a Matlab/Simulink environment as well as in the lab with the physical hardware
* Develop and execute test cases and procedures to test implementation of system requirements
* Write, review, and update procedures, system records, and IV&V reports while following the Change Control Process and various quality procedures
* The position may be expected to travel up to 25% domestically or internationally
* Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* A minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other BS engineering/science degree is required
* A minimum of 5 years of full-time specific work experience is required
* Must be able to utilize basic electronics lab equipment to execute hardware testing
* Experience working within a quality assurance program such as NQA-1 2015 is desired
* Hardware and/or software I&C systems engineering experience in safety related I&C system or software design is required
* Experience in the design, development, and/or V&V of field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology desired
* Prior experience performing independent verification & validation in the nuclear industry is strongly desired
* Experience with system development processes in accordance with IEEE standards and NRC regulations desired
* Must demonstrate understanding of working on safety critical software systems in a highly regulated industry
* Familiarity with Matlab and Simulink is strongly desired
* Remote work is available, but travel will be required as requested
