Job Summary and QualificationsThe Cardiac Catheterization Lab is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist to assist physicians in performing X-ray guided cardiac catheterizations and related procedures.
Job Duties:
- You will assist the physician in X-ray guided cardiac catheterizations, as well as cardiac and peripheral ballooning and stenting.
- You will assist the physician using sterile technique before and during procedures.
- You will perform the input of patient and procedure data.
- You will maintain arterial and venous hemostasis post-procedure.
- You will assist in transporting and positioning patients.
- You will ensure patient safety.
- You will maintain accurate records and documentation.
- You will maintain supplies and inventory.
- You will participate in the Performance Improvement (PI) plan.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and patient care appropriate to the ages served.
- You will perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with ARRT or RCIS.
- Maintain current BLS/ACLS certification (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation).
