Using your design expertise, you will swiftly and collaboratively bring innovative ideas from inception to execution. Having experience and understanding of the AI world is crucial for this role.

Your Day to Day

  1. Partners with design, engineering, design systems and product management team members in the execution and delivery of PayPal’s products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.
  2. Contributes to the planning and estimating work and participates in broader work stream coordination and expectation setting.
  3. Creates high-quality deliverables and executes based on product design goals and priorities without prescriptive guidance or direction, managing their work to a more extensive schedule.
  4. Leverages and extends the use of established product design techniques, templates, presentations and assets in the creation of product design analysis, solutions and materials.
  5. Contributes to the adaptation of PayPal product design tools, methodology and software, and proposes new solutions or optimizes existing ones.
  6. Creates opportunities to foster collaborative cross-discipline dynamics. Drives product design team delivery excellence, furthering influence to achieve product design goals.
  7. May lead one or more individuals in experience and design initiatives. Informally mentors junior product design practitioners in best practices, process and methodology.
  8. Rapidly prototype new user experiences.
  9. Iterate quickly to turn ideas into testable concepts.
  10. Work closely with your team, prioritizing beauty and usability.
  11. Craft solutions focused on the end-user's needs and experiences.
  12. Find innovative ways to integrate design and engineering.

What You Need to Bring

  1. Candidates should have at least 10+ years of experience within UX or Product Design.
  2. All candidates must submit a portfolio for consideration.
  3. Are experienced in design (layout, typography, color, Figma).
  4. Are experienced with motion and storytelling.
  5. Can work on multiple projects from concept to launch.
  6. Are committed to creating beautiful, user-centric designs prioritizing usability and accessibility.
  7. Have a relentless drive for perfection.
  8. Enjoy collaborating in a team-focused environment.
  9. A BA/BS or Master’s Degree in the field of design, user experience, research or related field is preferred but not required.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $120300 to $287100.

For the majority of employees, PayPal's balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace.
