Job Summary

This position is responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure within the company. This role involves overseeing the IT department, ensuring that systems, networks, and technology services align with the business’s goals and operational needs. This position serves as a bridge between technical and non-technical domains, translating business objectives into technological solutions and vice versa. This position strategically plans for and maintains all software and hardware for the company, supervises IT staff effectively, and manages the department within budget.

Responsibilities

· Directs the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals.

· Develops internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks.

· Analyzes high-level business needs and researches new technologies to identify and select IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes.

· Evaluates methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems to develop an IT strategy and roadmap and ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards.

· Plans and designs an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance.

· Oversees IT projects through their entire lifecycle to ensure completion is on-time and within budget and provides technical guidance to resolve complex issues.

· Ensures the end user experience is proactively managed so that responses are timely, user friendly and meet the user’s needs.

· Manages ERP implementation and maintenance for business efficiency and effectiveness.

· Reviews areas with the greatest frequency of user frustration and create work plans to address .

· Manages IT staff to ensure maximum customer service within the organization, and timely implementation of IT initiatives to ensure smooth operations.

· Ensures compliance with all security requirements necessary for government contracts.

· Supervises IT technicians to ensure effective and efficient deployment of IT services organization-wide.

· Manages department to budget and effectively plans for lifecycle upgrades and replacements both short and long term.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field required

· PMP or related certificate preferred

· 7 years general IT experience

· 5 years’ experience managing an IT department, including direct reports

· 3 years of end user support experience

· Experience with US government contractor security requirements strongly desired

· Experience planning and maintaining IT functions for a manufacturing environment strongly desired

  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles

· Experience planning the strategic IT functions for an organization

· Experience implementing and managing an ERP system
