Position Highlights:

May be eligible for a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus with 3 year commitment.
Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for -Avera's -Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from -Avera -will help pay down your principal balance faster.
Compensation: Immediately, Avera starts you with great wages, excellent benefits including health, dental, paid time off, and generous retirement.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties. - Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree with completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program, or Bachelor's Degree & one to two years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience/training acceptable to the ASCP or AMT.

-Certification, Licensure, Registration

Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP or AMT within one year of hire date.

Work Schedule

Day/Evening Shifts; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Every third weekend
Every third holiday
Every third on-call

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. -

$27.50 - $41.50 per hour
