An award-winning and patient care centered hospital in Southern Washington is actively interviewing for a new Coordinator of Infection Control.
This hospital has earned numerous awards for units throughout their facility. In addition, this 100+ bed hospital is accredited in many areas, but notably has a glowing record in their Infection Control Efforts. This well respected hospital is state of the art and has earned multiple awards for collaboration efforts, quality and patient care. The Coordinator of Infection Control will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Pacific Northwest.
The Coordinator of Infection Control will report directly to the Director of Quality and Infection Prevention. This person will be supported by a committee of staff and experienced infection preventionists, dedicated to improving quality initiatives and infection control practices.
The Coordinator of Infection Control is expected to implement and support performance improvement and quality assessment practices throughout the hospital. The Coordinator of Infection Control will need the ability to perform chart reviews and data abstraction for quality core measures and report their findings to the Joint Commission and CMS. In addition, they will identify, investigate, and keep record of hospital acquired infections, while educating staff, physicians and visitors to prevent further incidents. The ideal candidate will be an RN and certified in infection control.
The Tri-Cities area in Southern Washington is known for its breathtaking view of the Columbia River and gorgeous wine country.
